"Single project stage plan"

We align ourselves.

Every three months, all stakeholders come together to agree on the goals for the next three months.

Each team identifies what its contribution is to achieving the goals.
Dependencies between the teams and other stakeholders are visualised.
Project risks are written down and limited as best as possible.
The contributions of the teams are distributed as stories over the 6 sprints of the stage to assess whether it can work.
And most importantly: people come together and build trust in each other.

How do you structure a stage plan to keep track of the stage goals?

The following are suitable as top-level organisational criteria (also called EPICs)

High level functional architecture elements
High level technical architecture elements
Teams
Sub-projects

…or a mixture of these, if it helps.

Agile teams should provide a forecast of goal achievement from their sprints.
Conversely, the project plan should help structure the stage plan. We need a “linking element” that can be found in the world of the project plan and that of Agile product development: the EPICs.
